PRAWA Abia office was able to secure the release of ten inmates with the option of fine at the Umuahia Custodial Center. This comes after weeks of unrelenting effort.
The #fines4inmates project is still ongoing, overpopulation is still a major concern in many correctional centres across the country, and we implore the general public to support the cause in anyway possible; either by contribution and visiting any of the listed correctional centres on http://www.prawa.org to secure the release of any inmate(s) with options of fine.
