The Executive Director of Prisoners’ Rehabilitation and Welfare Action PRAWA; Dr. Roslyn Uju Agomoh has been elected into the Executive Committee (EX COM) of the International Council for Torture Victims (IRCT).

Dr. Agomoh by her new position will be representing Sub Sahara Africa on the Executive Committee board of IRCT. She was elected at the meeting of the IRCT council held in Budapest, Hungary from 20th – 23rd November 2012.

The Board, Management and Staff of PRAWA join the rest of stakeholders of our mandates to wish our amiable Executive Director a very successful tenure on the Executive Committee of IRCT.

We urge you to use your new position to further push the envelope of eliminating torture around the globe and rehabilitating torture victims in our communities. We at PRAWA strongly believe that torture is not an option. CONGRATULATIONS!
