An Organization known as Human Rights Information and Documentation Systems International HURIDOCS whose main objective is to provide human rights organizations with customized advice, training and support, so that they can provide the right information, to the right audiences, in the right format, at the right time, has come up with another innovative system geared towards assisting the Non-Government organizations involved in litigations. The very creative .device or technology is called CaseBox. In this report culled from HURIDOCS website, CaseBox is explained in very simplest terms for any organization that may find it useful.
What is CaseBox?
The CaseBox project allows litigation NGOs to:

• Have an integrated solution to store documents related to court cases securely online
• Manage calendars and court deadlines.
• Work collaboratively on court submissions
• Retrieve relevant case law from both their internal archive of cases and external case law databases.

Who is CaseBox for?
CaseBox is designed to support the needs of litigation NGOs which are looking for an integrated and web-based application to manage their caseload. The typical user will be an NGO that:

• Litigates cases at domestic level but also at regional mechanisms like the European Court of Human Rights, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, the African Commission and Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
• Has a staff of more than five lawyers or experts working on cases, and at least one clerk.
• Has the need for sharing and collaborating across multiple office locations.
• Is looking for an integrated online solution with minimal technical hassles.
• Works with lawyers who are willing to work with online information systems.

What will CaseBox do?
The CaseBox software will enable litigation NGOs to do the following tasks:

• Store and access documents related to court cases on a secure web server.
• Manage tasks, case calendars and keep track of court deadlines.
• Work collaboratively on court submissions documents: drafting, commenting.
• Manage the overall caseload, through dashboards for each lawyer and for the organization’s legal director (which lawyer is working on which cases, etc).
• Access their litigation data from multiple office locations, and any computer with internet access.
• Manage client contacts and leads, and produce form letters for routine correspondence.
• Do legal research and need to retrieve relevant case law from both their internal archive of cases and from external case law databases like HUDOC.
• Analyze patterns of abuse using their case archive.

CaseBox can also be provided to NGOs at a hosted “software as a service” solution, including technical support, customizations, and upgrades. Please contact us, if you are interested in such a solution.
